Emma Coates was a Pixar storyboard artist when she wrote a series of 22 tweets about storytelling. They were insights she learned from working there between 2006 and 2012. She worked mainly on Brave, and also on Monsters University & Inside Out. She has more recently described them as “notes to my younger self”.
Emma now works for Google, creating the character and personality for Google Assistant by writing the dialogue.
